From the Slovenian immigrants who established the community to Indiana Avenue musicians and now an ever growing Latin X population, Haughville has been a place that produced innovators and entrepreneurs. The community is still growing and revitalizing with the renewal of the Belmont Beach site, and the B&O Trail. There are also long standing institutions like the Christamore House and newer cultural arts organizations like Fonseca Theatre and Indy Convergence enriching the neighborhood.
